This policy explains what information we collect when you use our website, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it. We keep it plain, and we keep it honest.

1. Who is responsible for your data

Nuvalo Studios, Dubai, UAE ("Nuvalo", "we", "us", "our") is a software and AI studio based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and runs the website at nuvalo-studio.com. Nuvalo is the party responsible for the personal information described here.

2. What this policy covers

This policy covers personal information we handle through this website, including our contact form and our business assessment. If you become a client, any additional handling of your information is covered by the separate agreement we sign with you.

3. What we collect

Information you give us. When you use the contact form or complete the business assessment, we collect what you enter: your name, email address, phone number, company name, the answers you select, and anything you tell us about your business, its needs, and your project.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider records limited technical data such as your IP address, browser and device type, timestamps, and the pages you view, to keep the site secure and working.

Please do not send us sensitive information (for example government IDs, financial account details, health data, or anyone else's personal data) through the forms. They are not meant for it.

4. Why we use it, and our lawful basis

To respond to your enquiry and prepare a recommendation, scope, or quote. We do this to take steps at your request and in our legitimate interest in running our business.

To follow up about your enquiry. We do this in our legitimate interest, or with your consent where required.

To operate, secure, maintain, and improve the website. We do this in our legitimate interest in a safe, working service.

To meet legal, accounting, or regulatory obligations, where they apply.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

5. About the assessment

The business assessment produces a suggested starting point from the answers you give. It is there to guide the conversation. It has no legal or similarly significant effect, and a person always reviews it before we act on it. You can ask us not to rely on it.

6. Who we share it with

We use a small set of trusted providers to run the service, and they process your information only on our instructions and only as needed: Vercel (website hosting and infrastructure), Neon (the database that stores submissions), and Telegram (the internal notification that alerts us to a new enquiry).

We may also share information with professional advisers, or with authorities, where we are required to by law or to protect our rights. We never sell your information.

7. International transfers

Our providers operate globally, so your information may be stored or processed on servers outside the United Arab Emirates, including in the European Union and the United States. Where we transfer information, we take reasonable steps to keep it protected and rely on the safeguards and contractual protections our providers offer.

8. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and assessment information for as long as we need it to respond to you and to maintain reasonable business, accounting, and legal records. After that we delete or anonymise it. If you ask us to delete your information sooner, we will, unless we are required to keep some of it by law.

9. How we protect it

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers. No website or method of transmission is ever completely secure, but we work to keep your information safe.

10. Your rights

You can ask us to access the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, receive a copy in a portable format, or withdraw a consent you gave. You can also ask us to stop contacting you at any time.

11. Your rights under UAE and international law

We aim to handle personal data in line with the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021).

If you are in the European Union, the EEA, or the United Kingdom, we also honour the equivalent rights under the GDPR and UK GDPR, and you have the right to complain to your local data protection authority if you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information.

12. Cookies and similar technology

We keep this minimal. The site does not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies, and it does not run third-party analytics. Any local storage used is for basic site functionality only. If this ever changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

13. Third-party links

Our site may link to third-party services, for example WhatsApp. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices, so please review their policies when you use them.

14. Children

Our website and services are intended for businesses and are not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed, and we will flag significant changes where it is appropriate to do so.
